November 20, 2009
Dear Northeast Middle School Families,
We are approaching the end of the first trimester on November 24th, which is a big milestone for our students and staff. One third of the year is over and students will be receiving new schedules and changing their trimester exploratory classes on Monday, November 30th. Another date to note is that report cards will be printed and
sent home with your student on Monday, December 7th. Be sure to ask your child for your copy!
To acknowledge our students achievements, and the positive behavior they exhibited during the 1st trimester, we will be holding a school wide
Student Celebration Extravanganza on Tuesday, November 24th. Several activities have been planned including: personal digital pictures, gym activities, board games, bingo, goodie walk, concession stand, face painting, computer games, hackie sack corner, and a dance! These activities will take place from 1:50 - 2:50 pm throughout the school in designated areas. We welcome parent volunteers to help out with this celebration. Please call the office and let us know if you plan to attend. Parents are to sign in on the day of the celebration and receive a visitor's pass before moving on to the activities.
Please note that there will be no school on Wednesday, November 25th. That is a scheduled work day for teachers to attend professional development in the morning and enter grades in the afternoon. We hope your family will be able to take advantage of the extended Thanksgiving break from November 25th to November 29th.
We will welcome our students back on Monday, November 30th. to start the second trimester refreshed and ready to go!
Our NEMS family would like to extend Thanksgiving greetings as you celebrate special family time together. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Kelley Howard
Principal
